Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force (AREPT) Probes 17 Cases of Stolen Government Assets

The Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force (AREPT) is investigating 17 cases of stolen government assets as part of its intensified efforts to recover misappropriated public resources.
AREPT Chairman Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin disclosed this on State Radio, emphasizing that the process is legal and not a witch-hunt against past or current officials.
Cllr. Martin also assured the Liberian people that AREPT will continue to act according to the law in identifying, tracing, and recovering assets that were unlawfully taken.
He was accompanied by forensic experts Andrew Durant and Wayne Anthony from FTI Consulting, a leading forensic accounting firm from the United Kingdom, who are in Liberia to support the government's asset recovery efforts.
